Bright floral + Pacific Rim | ootd #2

                                          Sunglasses - River Island
                                          Sandals - River Island
                                          Dress - Primark

On the weekend I went to see the film Pacific rim, which is absolutely amazing! If you love action films with lots of fighting in it, with robots/monsters.. then this is the film for you!

This is the outfit I wore. This Primark dress has a really good fit and is just gorgeous, especially the cut out detail on the side of the dress. The sandals are a really comfy fit, and the studs add a little something extra to the plain nude colour. These glasses are right on trend as they are cat eye shaped, yet they have a little something extra with the gold 'metal' plating at the side, which is a gorgeous detail!

If you're wondering what shade of lipstick I am wearing, it is Rimmels Lasting Finish lipstick in ALARM.

~ Has anyone else seen a film in the cinema recently that they love? ~

Lace crop top ( £16 - Misselfridges ) - I adore this top and have worn it so many times, It is a cream rose patterned lace 'turtle neck' crop top which is so stunning, I love the shape of it and its so flattering, I love pairing it with this skirt too, as they're just a perfect match.

Nude pleated skirt ( £35 - Misselfridges ) - oh my god this skirt is amazing! It is a nude-pink textured skirt, which sits quite high up on the waist. This is great to make it seem like you have more curves/butt as it is quite a skater skirt style, I adore this skirt.

Kurt Geiger shoes ( £39 - Kurt Geiger ) - These shoes are utterly gorgeous. They're white with white lace ups and studs on the front of the shoe. these are so comfy - even without socks. You don't have to break them in at all and are a great staple piece for your wardrobe as they are quite versatile.

I love this outfit so much and have worn these items plenty of times.

Monochrome trend!

Monochrome has been very popular recently, and is absolutely gorgeous for and season.

1.  Is a Monochrome daisy pinafore playsuit. (2 trends in one!) Monochrome daisies are great for summer, because even though they are monochrome, they have a floral pattern to them which is great for the summer months, and also great for those who find bright and colourful floral patterns too much.

2. Is a Monochrome daisy dress from Topshop, which the gorgeous model Miranda Kerr is seen sporting in the picture. The dress has cut out detailing by the waist and neck and shows just enough skin to be casual, yet sexy.

3. This next item is a Monochrome playsuit. This is utterly gorgeous and absolutely on trend, and if you're too shy to try a bold monochrome look then this is the one for you, as it is isn't a very bold look yet it's still bang on trend.

4. Unlike the last item, this is a bold monochrome dress, In a checker pattern which is trendy and bold, it is absolutely gorgeous and sleek with its sultry scoop back.

I would urge people to stock their wardrobes with monochrome print as it is very stylish, and good for every season!

June favourites 2013

My first favourite of the month is my new foundation brush the real techniques expert face brush :

I know I am late on the bandwagon for his brush but this is my holy grail foundation brush, it takes me about 2 minutes to put my foundation on with this brush because it's so quick and easy to use, yet it has amazing results! Buffing my foundation in with this brush makes my face appear poreless! And it's really cheap!

My second favourite is 2 Zoeva brushes:

The first brush is the 227 soft definer eye brush is great for blending eyeshadows and blending eyeshadows into transitions for a smokey eye.
It is a flat oval shaped brush and is super soft. It is made from white goat hair and this brush is just like the mac 217, just a cheaper version!
All of Zoeva's brushes are amazing and cheap, yet good quality!

This brush is the 229 Eye finish brush this brush is a blending brush for the crease, and as the name would suggest is a brush for blending and finishing off the eyemakeup to make a flawless effect.
It has vegan synthetic duo fibre bristles are really soft, and good quality!

My third favourite is a rimmel lipstick:

This Rimmel lipstick is called ALARM and the colour is true to the picture, it is a red lipstick and it is gorgeous! It is a matte lipstick that is very pigmented and it suits pale and darker skin tones, which is a plus! This lipsticks has a gorgeous smell, which is always good and it is very smooth with good lasting power!

My fourth is a Barry M nail varnish :

This Barry M nail varnish in Berry ice cream is gorgeous! It is a pastel purple-pink colour and it is opaque in just 2 coats. This is one of the few nail varnishes that doesn't automatically chip on me, even without a topcoat and I find myself coming back to it time and time again! I love it.

All of these products are mine and everything stated is my own opinion, and you may have a differing opinion on these products. I have linked every product to a place where you can buy them!

Do you have any of these products? If you do tell me what you think of them!

Cut-out boots

Cut out boots are quite 'in' and on trend at the moment. From high end to high street, you can find lots of different cut out boots, from plain to patterned.

I myself LOVE cut out boots and think they're gorgeous all year round! And they're a nice twist on a classic ankle boot.

These are just 3 from high end, to high street, but there are many more in different styles, shapes and patterns that are all lovely!

Homemade midi ring

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
I myself have very short skinny fingers, which can be extremely annoying, since many rings don't actually fit me. I saw midi rings and fell in-love with them, and instantly wanted some, so I decided to make my own.

I am not great at making my own things, and they usually turn out a bit rubbish but I knew these rings would be fool proof!

I instantly took to my jewellery drawers and found a cheap old necklace that I didn't care for any more  and decided to use it for my ring.
It's quite simple really;

  •  I took the chain off the necklace and I wrapped it around my finger, just around my knuckle and counted how many chain loops their where.
  •  When I found out how many chain loops I needed, I opened the end of the loop with some old tweezers (you will know where to open it, as there will be a little slit which you can pry open)
  • I then placed the opened end through the beginning and pushed them back together with the tweezers, and it was complete!
Of course, the rings aren't perfect, they're home made but I like them that way! (Alternatively instead of tweezers you can use actual tools such as pliers! But I'm an amateur!)

It's simple and easy to make, and there are probably many YouTube tutorials that are much easier, better and look nicer. Try them out!

Structured Bags.

It seems as though structured bags are quite in at the moment, from top end to high street they're in every shop.
Celine Logo - Have a very popular brand of bags that the Kardashians are known to sport a lot ( top image )

But it seems as though even Primark have made their own version of the popular bags. Although the bags don't look very alike, it is still a trendy bag to sport. ( bottom image )
This bag was an amazing £10 and is faux leather in the middle and suede on the outer parts with zipper detailing.

Both bags are gorgeous but for the cheaper option, look in high street stores for 'look alikes' for gorgeous structured bags.
